Remember when you had to rush back to the office just to print an important document? Cloud and mobile printing have changed that for good. Modern multifunction copiers can accept jobs from phones, laptops and cloud drives — securely, from almost anywhere.
What is cloud printing?
Cloud printing connects your copier to a secure online service. You send a document from Google Drive, OneDrive, email or a mobile app, and it waits in a queue until you release it at the machine.
How to get started
- Check your copier supports mobile or cloud printing (most Canon, HP, Kyocera and Konica Minolta models from the last few years do).
- Install the manufacturer’s app on your phone or laptop.
- Enable secure release so documents only print when you tap your ID card or enter a PIN.
Why it matters for your office
Teams work from client sites, homes and branch offices. Cloud printing means contracts, invoices and reports are ready the moment someone walks in — without emailing files to a colleague.
